In this new iteration, mediated by the spanish language, the artist synthesizes and expands on the reflection present in his research; by transforming the phrase into “Amar en Libertad”, the absence of the pronoun “se” generalizes the act of loving, making it free of recipients, forms, or boundaries – as long as it is in freedom. In the Cuban capital, Chaves distributed holographic stickers and T-shirts with the phrase to the public, while larger versions, in reflective fabric banners, occupied spaces such as the Fototeca de Cuba.
