Série Macunaíma
1988
First solo exhibition. Invited by the Macunaíma Project in 1988*, the artist occupied the Macunaíma gallery located at Funarte’s headquarters in Rio de Janeiro*. The exhibition, articulated as a large installation, featured work done in different techniques and materials. Among the materials chosen, it should be highlighted the reused kraft paper from grocery bags that were also used as a support for drawings and paintings, from stencil to freehand, and mixed materials assemblages.
